Vintage Jewellery News
ByVintage Jewellery news from AntiquesAvenue for the end of April 2010.
As usual I have been very buys adding lots more genuine vintage jewellery to my shop this month and have created a new section just for lockets of all types including locket brooches, locket charms and the traditional locket to be worn around the neck. Here is a preview of a few of the lovely pieces of vintage and antique jewellery which have been added to the shop in the last couple of weeks.:

Art Deco Ring
A lovely piece of original vintage jewellery. Here is an art deco cocktail ring which will date from circa 1920s to 1940s and has a design typical of the era it was made in. This ring is set with cornflower blue and crystal clear gemstones which test as Sapphires and are most likely lab created. The head of this vintage cocktail ring measures about 1.5 cms long and this is UK ring size R.5, USA size 9. There are quite a few more genuine pieces of art deco jewellery including rings on the website at the moment so please do take a look about.

Antique Locket
An excellent Victorian locket with black enamel on both sides. This locket is made of heavy gold filled which was popular way of making jewellery in the Victorian era. This is a layer of gold over a metal core. This locket opens and inside are two glass covered compartments for your own photos or a small memento. This locket measures about 3 cms long plus the bail.
This locket is in excellent condition but is a little stiff to open
The Front Page Feature for the end of April is Vintage Rings showing a lovely display of all the genuine vintage rings available from AntiquesAvenue.co.uk.
Blog update, Still working my way through the alphabet for Vintage Jewellery materials and have completed the letter B and have started C with Carnelian and Ceramics. Over on Vintage Charms I am looking at charms in different shapes and there is a cute look at clock shaped charms as the most recent entry.
What’s Coming next?
This week I have some nice fresh vintage jewellery stock to add including Cameo brooches, More silver bangles ( so nice with summer outfits which show off your arms) a couple more pearl necklaces and a couple of special antique rings. I will be back to update about these soon. To make room for all of this I will be reducing one or two items which have been in stock for a while so please also do check the sale page regularly. I will be reducing a few brooches, some earrings and especially vintage costume jewellery by at least 10%. Hope you find a bargain
