Have you see the latest Dior perfume advert for J’Adore? Crikey, not sure I can agree with them:  ”Gold is cold, Diamonds are dead” according to the advert. A very pretty vintage engagement ring dating from the earlier 1900s.This is set with a diamond solitaire which measures about 3 mm diameter. The shank is made of eighteen carat gold with the head and setting being platinum which sets off the diamond wonderfully. The inside of the shank is stamped 18ct plat. This is ring size UK J.5, USA just over 5.
