Cat charms from Nursery Rhymes again
Posted by: | CommentsCat charms come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and materials, they are one of the more popular collectable vintage charms. Cats often feature in nursery Rhymes and childrens stories. I’ve already shown you two of my favourites Hey Diddle Diddle and The owl and the Pussy cat . Now I have found Ding Dong Bell
Ding, dong, bell, Pussy’s in the well!
Who put her in? Little Tommy Green.
Who pulled her out?Big Johnny Stout.
What a naughty boy was that,
To drown poor pussy-cat,
Who never did him any harm,
But killed the mice in his father’s barn!
Here is that rhyme remembered in a vintage silver charm:
Cat silver charms from Nursey Rhymes
Posted by: | CommentsI have been lucky enough to find two vintage silver charms both of which represent nursery rhymes / nonsense poems relating to cats. These are The Cat and the Fiddle and The Owl and the Pussy Cat.
