AntiquesAvenue blog copyright

It is a shame that I am having to post . Recently I have found large chunks of this blog are being copied and reproduced around the Internet including whole articles and pictures. Whilst this is most flattering in some ways I cannot continue to create work and offer information free of charge just for others to profit from. Would you?

All articles ( including photographs) on www.antiquesavenue.com and www.antiquesavenue.co.uk are copyright of AntiquesAvenue unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Should you wish to use these articles and photographs I require that you ask express permission from me for every item used.  Normally I would not charge to use my articles but I would require full author acknowledgement and links in the original article must be preserved.

I hope you agree this is fair – any concerns please do get in touch

Thanks

Anne Haile

  1. …To be copied is one thing, to have the whole of something lifted, cut and pasted is another, and damn difficult to entirely prevent…

You know because you have so much web acumen that the best way to beat the effects of this is to be even more of an authority – to write more, to post what you write in even more optimized ways…this will cause you to rise higher and higher in the search rankings, which effectively erases any gains the people who are stealing your content had hoped to gain…

Also it never hurts to contact these people and cajole them into removing your content…it sometimes works…

You have a great site…are an authority, and are a most effective communicator of your ideas…Take Care…
